Microsoft Security Essentials, c'est le nom de la nouvelle solution anti-virus, anti-spyware et anti-malware proposée de manière totalement gratuite par Microsoft, depuis aujourd'hui (http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/)

Ce composant de Windows simple à installer, facile à utiliser et mis à jour en permanence offre une protection en temps réel contre les menaces en ligne. Aucun enregistrement n'est requis. Le logiciel tourne discrètement en arrière plan, sans ralentir le système et ne prévient l'utilisateur que lorsqu'une menace est recensée. L'utilisation est simplifiée à l'extrême. "Si le voyant est vert, c'est que tout va bien" signale Microsoft.

Voilà le genre d'annonce qui ne plaît guère aux éditeurs de logiciels de sécurité.
